DoorDash, TKO Group, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy will join the S&P 500 index as part of a quarterly rebalance, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Friday night. AppLovin, one of the hottest stocks of 2024, was a notable snub.
DASH stock edged down 0.1% Monday amid the market sell-off after spiking higher Friday night. TKO stock and Williams-Sonoma fell 1.1% and 1.7%, respectively. Expand Energy gained 3.2%. AppLovin stock plunged 12%.
DoorDash, TKO, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy will replace Borgwarner, Teleflex, Celanese Corp. and FMC Corp. before the open on March 24. The latter four stocks which will drop down to the S&P SmallCap 600.
VF Corp., Alaska Air and Hims & Hers Health, will replace TKO, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy in the S&P MidCap 400.
