"Doom: The Dark Ages" won't be the same after the upcoming update. The free update gives players another reason to return to its brutal demon-slaying combat. Developer id Software has announced Slaughter Mode, an endless single-player mode coming to the game's Revelations DLC next month.
The new mode is designed around escalating waves of demons across multiple arenas. Rather than following a traditional campaign mission, players will fight for as long as possible while attempting to improve their personal records.
