A video filmed at a restaurant in Tennessee has renewed an ongoing debate about how much noise from young children should be tolerated in public spaces. The clip was shared by TikTok creator Victoria Lombardo and has been viewed more than 10.6 million times.
The video shows part of a tense exchange between Lombardo and a man seated nearby, which appears to have started because of the behavior of her young nephew, referred to in the video as “Baby G.” The confrontation itself is brief, but it has led to thousands of comments from viewers who disagree about who was in the right.
According to Lombardo, she was at the restaurant with her family while filming videos of her nephew, whom she described as acting like a typical young child. She said the boy was being loud at the time.

The footage that was recorded shows Lombardo stepping in herself. “You know what? You can [expletive] off,” she tells the man in the video. “Don’t look at my nephew like that… Don’t shake your head at a child.”
