Donald Trump's first wife Ivana has died suddenly at the age of 73 in New York City.
Ivana was the first wife of the former US president, with Trump paying tribute on his social media platform Truth Social.
He wrote: “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”
He added: “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
Ivana was Donald Trump ’s first wife and they had three children together: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump.
She grew up under Communist rule in the former Czechoslovakia and married Trump in 1977.
The couple divorced in 1992.
Her family confirmed the news of her death to ABC News and released a statement about the “incredible woman”.
The family said: "Our mother was an incredible woman - a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend.
"Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country.
"She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
"She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren."
Paramedics rushed to reports of a woman in cardiac arrest and found a 73-year-old woman in the Upper East Side apartment where Ivana Trump lived just after 12.30pm on Thursday, the New York City Fire Department said.
