The critically acclaimed film 'The Apprentice', that is reportedly inspired from Donald Trump's life, is set to hit cinemas in Russia. Directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, the film will open on 800 screens across the country on Friday.
This release comes after the film underwent censorship. According to The Hollywood Reporter, one scene featuring Jeremy Strong as Trump’s former lawyer Roy Cohn required visual alterations, with a black box obscuring part of the footage while leaving the audio intact. Producers agreed to the edit, citing this modification was made to adhere to local standards without compromising the film's overall narrative regarding Trump's character development.
