Donald Trump in 'high spirits' ahead of arrest and WANTS to be seen in handcuffs

Donald Trump is in “high spirits” ahead of his possible upcoming arrest wanting to use the sight of him in handcuffs for maximum exposure.

New York prosecutors, police and the Secret Service have been working behind the scenes to arrange a quiet handover of the former president if he is indicted.

But according to sources, Trump wants none of it.

One insider close to his team has said the businessman's team want to film and photograph the moment with their own camera crew.

“They want the image of him in cuffs and his mugshot released,” they said.

“Team Trump is loving this stuff. He has not had so much interest since the January 6 riots.”

Trump is running for the White House next year and is hoping to use his possible arrest to fire up his base of supporters.

Another source claimed the tycoon was “revelling about the being back on the front pages and having so much attention”.

They added: “He believes such a focus on him will help him secure the Republican nomination and see off challengers from people such as Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis."

Thousands of uniformed police have been placed on standby in New York in case the businessman is indicted on fraud-related charges.

They centre upon a hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels days before the 2016 US election to avoid her speaking publicly about her alleged affair with Trump.

Today, the grand jury in the case against Trump met in New York City as police maintain an increased presence amid concerns of unrest should the court decide to go forward with an arrest.

Meanwhile, the former president is at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
