Donald Trump flies to New York ahead of court ‘battle’

Donald Trump was on Monday due to fly to New York for a blockbuster court hearing as his lawyer warned he is “ready to fight” the criminal charges against him over hush money payments to a porn star.

Mr Trump, who played golf over the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, is to be arraigned at a Manhattan court on Tuesday over allegations that he broke the law by paying Stormy Daniels to keep quiet during his successful 2016 presidential campaign.
