A killer of a policeman who slit the throat of a woman as he escaped from prison has been executed by lethal injection in Florida.
Faye Vann was parked at a shopping centre waiting for her family when Donald Dillbeck, serving a life sentence for killing a deputy, approached her with a knife and demanded a ride in 1990.
Vann, 44, honked her horn and tried to drive off but she was stabbed more than 20 times with a paring knife and had her throat slit, two miles from the state Capitol in Tallahassee, court records show.
