'Don't tell Rangers' - Peter Bosz teases surprise return for PSV star

Peter Bosz has revealed Patrick van Aanholt could make a surprise return from injury against Rangers.

The former Crystal Palace defender is back in training with the Dutch side ahead of the Champions League play-off round second leg.

Van Aanholt had picked up a knock on the opening day of the season against Vitesse and was thought to be unlikely to feature in the Champions League qualifier.

However, Bosz has admitted the defender is in contention to play against Rangers in Eindhoven tomorrow night.

He said: "I hope the players recovered well but we have one more day of training today. After training today I will take the decision.

"Yes there are more players. Patrick van Aanholt is training with us so let's see how he is doing today."

Asked whether a return for Van Aanholt was set to be a "big surprise", Bosz joked: "Yes, but don't tell Rangers please."

Meanwhile, Rafael van der Vaart has brazenly admitted he "doesn't like" Rangers.

Ex-Ajax and Tottenham star Van der Vaart has backed PSV to do the job on home soil, throwing in an unexpected curveball about his personal dislike of Rangers.

He told Rondo's Ziggo Sport: "I really don't like Rangers at all. It used to be great to play against Scottish teams.

"They don't cover through and there are a lot of spaces. It always seems to be something at home, because it's an impressive stadium with that audience behind it. Only I really can't imagine that PSV won't get through."

Ruud Gullit came in: "I think you underestimate it. If PSV were that good, you should have won it big and you didn’t. You do dominate, but you create very little. Rangers wait just as long until you make a mistake. "
