Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol has questioned rumours around Sadio Mane’s future.
The Reds forward has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, amid talk of him wanting to leave Anfield. Liverpool sources insist Mane has not communicated his desire to leave - but they are braced for contact from Bayern as speculation in Germany intensifies over the 30-year-old.
Liverpool will demand more than €30m for Sadio Mane this summer and will only consider selling if a replacement is sourced. The Senegalese international is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract.

HAVE YOUR SAY: What do Liverpool need this summer?
The ECHO understands that Liverpool will want a sum in excess of the fee of £25.5m (€30m) that has been reported across German media over the past week.
Certain reports have claimed that Mane’s reasoning for wanting to leave Liverpool would be down to wanting a new challenge. Nicol has questioned those potential motives, believing another reason could be down to Mane’s possible desire to move on.
“Oh, it’s money,” Nicol told ESPN. “Absolutely it’s about money.
“From a professional point of view, why would you leave Liverpool? They are almost the best team in the land, so you aren’t moving for professional reasons.
“It’s definitely about money. If it is, then don’t give us some story about ‘looking for a new challenge’ nonsense.
“Just say, ‘I want a new contract and the one I want they aren’t going to give me it’, which is fine. ‘I have won everything I can and so I will move on’.”
