Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman has fired back at former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan over his negativity surrounding Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper.
The former Wolves striker took talkSPORT pundit Jordan to task live on air as they discussed Forest who are having an unbelievable season with promotion to the Premier League a distinct possibility.
The Reds are just three points behind Bournemouth with three games to play but should they not achieve second they are an odds-on bet to make the play-offs. Cooper has had two shots at the Championship play-offs before during his time at Swansea but they missed out on each occasion.

But Goodman said that if Forest were to miss out, the season would not represent a disaster given the job Cooper has done having inherited a side that were bottom of the Championship in September.
Goodman told Jordan: "You say if they lose in the play-offs that’s a failure but they were bottom when he took over. Is it a brilliant achievement from where he’s taken them from? I would say so.”
Jordan responded: "I didn't say that. What I said was if you don't get automatic promotion with the opportunity in front of you does it take away the momentum because of the disappointment of being there.
"I've seen it happen before. If you're in the play-offs you're in it to win it not to turn around and say it's a great achievement. If you get to three play-offs and you lose them, the observation, as harsh as it may be, about being a perennial loser, is supported by the fact you've got to three play-offs, you've lost them three times.
"That currently makes you a perennial loser. It's a tragic fact, but it's a fact."
