If you were a kid growing up in 1990s America, there was one feast that felt more bountiful than even your grandmother's spread for Thanksgiving.
That's right, it's the pizza party -- the best way for our poor, exhausted parents to feed a gang of kids with minimal complaints or drama. Even when compared to the affordable, crowd-pleasing fast food menu options of McDonald's (MCD), it's hard to beat the amount of food per dollar value that comes with a family pizza night.
While Domino's (DPZ) already holds the top spot in terms of revenue, the chain has really upped the ante over the last few years, thanks to its exceptionally easy-to-use delivery app and great rewards for repeat customers. And while Domino's isn't exempt from raising prices due to inflation, the company did drum up a new special called the "Inflation Relief Deal" that gives customers 20% off all orders placed online, in person, or for carryout (for a limited time.)
Domino's Adds Loaded Tots to Mix & Match Deal
Now Domino’s is adding another new item to its Mix & Match menu -- and one that fast food fans are sure to love, but may not have expected to find there: tater tots.
Domino’s Loaded Tots come in three different flavors. First, the Philly Cheesesteak will cover tots with slices of steak, Alfredo sauce, fresh onions, green peppers, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. The Cheddar Bacon Tots will be covered in smoky bacon, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic parmesan sauce. Meanwhile, the Melty Three Cheese tots are exactly what they sound like and come smothered in mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, and creamy alfredo sauce.
These indulgent little snacks will only be at Domino's for a limited time.
Domino's Tots Arrive Just in Time for Super Bowl LVII
Domino's, along with just about every other food delivery service in the greater United States, is coming up on one of the most lucrative days of the year. This year's Super Bowl festivities will certainly see pizzas flying out of the ovens and whisked away to game day parties everywhere. Premiering a new menu item is sure to make the big day just a little more profitable for Domino's.
"We're excited to bring potatoes to Domino's national menu for the first time, just in time for the biggest football game of the year," said Kate Trumbull, Domino's senior vice president of brand and product innovation. "Loaded Tots make the perfect addition to any party spread. Whether you want a side item to accompany pizza or are looking for an overall crowd-pleaser, Loaded Tots are sure to impress. Potato, pototo – whatever way you say it, Domino's Loaded Tots are delicious."
