Domino's pizza wades into This Morning queue jumping row but not everyone's impressed

The debate over whether This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield were right or wrong in the way they entered Westminster Hall rages unpleasantly on. Holly set out to explain what happened as This Morning returned to our screens on ITV on Tuesday morning, saying the visit "was strictly for the purpose of reporting", which some people accept and some people don't.

Now, Domino's has waded in with a tweet saltier than a Triple Pepperoni Passion, writing: "Apologies to anyone waiting on their pizza, we've just received an order from Holly and Phil #ThisMorning."

The tweet came after today's This Morning episode in which the show aired a package about the Queen's death and how the country had reacted and included a voiceover from Holly, reacting to the furore last week which saw her and Phil appear in Westminster Hall without having needed to queue. She told viewers: ""Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we were given official permission to access the hall. It was strictly for the purpose of reporting. The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back. In contrast, those paying respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause. None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone's place in the queue and no one filed past the Queen."

Holly continued: "We, of course, respected those rules. However, we realise it may have looked like something else and therefore totally understand the reaction. Please know, we would never jump a queue."

While many people may be over it, it seems Domino's aren't. And their followers were loving the sass, with user Selina JS tweeting: "This wins Twitter today."

Jimmy Conley added: "Once Domino's turns on you, there's no way back." And Neil Addison wrote: "I take it they are eating their pizzas in an official capacity?"

But others were less impressed. Lara Terry tweeted: "While you're here...are half and half pizzas ever coming back?!" And Daniel Morgan wrote: "Reminds me of the time a Domino's lorry was parked up on there [sic] break blocking access for other trucks and cars to leave, and when I asked the driver to move he closed his window. So not a good image for the company that likes to comment on other people and businesses."

And Cathy Honest Gardener wrote: "If people have got this much energy for unfairness and inequality they need to start campaigning for a republic. Leave them alone, it's just bullying now."
