Domino’s Pizza urges I’m a Celebrity fans to stop ordering food to the castle

Pizza giant Domino’s has been forced to issue a “very important announcement” after I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! superfans continue to order food for hungry campmates at Gwrych Castle, where the show is filmed.

The Rhyl branch has received an influx of orders dedicated to celebrity contestants. On Wednesday, a mystery mammoth order was requested after music producer Naughty Boy was evicted – and further orders were placed days before.

Despite their dire diets of plain rice and beans, the pizza never reached the hungry hands of the campmates. Instead, the production crew tucked into a slice of the action.

At least the intentions were there.

Video footage from the Domino’s dashcam showed the driver attempting to deliver the bizarre anonymous order.

“Who keeps ordering these?” one confused crew member quizzed, while another added: “Are you being serious?”

Domino’s Pizza has since turned to Twitter urging people to stop. “No delivery to the castle,” the pizza joint proclaimed.

“Yes, we know the campmates deserve something tasty after all the Bushtucker Trials, but please stop ordering pizzas to the castle.

“We can’t get them through the gates, so your favourite celebrities aren’t getting a pizza the action.”

They humoured: “(The crew are quite happy though).”

On Thursday, the former BBC presenter and journalist Louise Minchin became the fifth campmate to leave the I’m a Celebrity castle.

Describing her experience as “life-changing”, the 53-year-old told Ant and Dec. “I can’t wait to go home… I’m super excited.”

“I finished something amazing and I’ve always wanted to do this show,” she said.

“I love that it’s been in Wales – apart from the fact we had some rain.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues at 9pm on ITV.
