Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin dropped a selection hint on the eve of their relegation clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The forward provided concern after he was withdrawn during the interval of the Blues defeat to runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City. Calvert-Lewin provided an outlet during the opening proceedings against the Citizens and looked a threat against Pep Guardiola's side but his exit from the encounter had Everton fans fearing the worst.
For much of the season, the talisman has been sidelined with recurring injuries leaving the Goodison Park side short up front in their quest for Premier League survival. The inclusion of the 26-year-old could be pivotal in maintaining Everton's stay in the English top-flight.

And on the eve of their trip to Molineux, Calvert-Lewin took to social media to preview their visit to Julen Lopetegui's side with an Instagram story. It's not unfamiliar for players in the modern age to post to their respective channels ahead of matches but it does usually tip towards selection.
Should the post prove to suggest he will be included, it marks a massive boost for Sean Dyche's side in their run-in. Wolves are already safe having found themselves in tricky waters after Bruno Lage's sacking however the iconic Spaniard has lead them clear of the danger zone.
"Hopefully [he can play]," the Everton boss said on Thursday. "He’s had a few down days and it’s looking more promising. He will be with us again tomorrow for training.
"He has come through the last few days well."
One player who is looking increasingly unlikely to make the trip to the Midlands is full-back Vitalii Mykolenko. Dyche confirmed the Ukraine defender hasn't recovered from the injury that saw him miss the defeat to City.
"I doubt he will be right for this one. "He has got a chance for the next one. It’s a risk-and-reward scenario and he hasn’t trained. So, therefore, I doubt he will make this one," he said.
