Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill reacts to his performance vs. Chiefs

For the first time since being traded last offseason, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had an opportunity to take on his former team – the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the game, Hill recorded eight receptions for 62 yards, but he also had a pair of costly drops and a fumble that was returned for a Kansas City touchdown.

An offer for Dolphins fans

Following the contest, Hill spoke to the media about his performance.

“I think I played, overall, pretty well,” Hill said. “(There were) some tight-window throws, and those guys did a good job of making it hard on me all day. They did a great job. They had a real good plan for slowing us down at the line of scrimmage. It’s on me to make plays. That’s why they brought me here, to make plays in these type of games…

“As a receiver, I never think about how many drops I have in a game. I’m always thinking about the next play, baby. That’s how I became who I am today. Everybody drops passes. It happens. It’s all about how you move on to the next play, and I gotta learn from it. Go to the film room, learn from it and find better ways to get open.”

If Hill wants to become the first wide receiver to record 2,000 yards in a season and win the league’s MVP honors, he has to make those clutch plays. It’s those plays that could make voters decide to go with a quarterback, maybe even his quarterback, instead.
