Christian Kirk is putting up career-best numbers in his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and needs just 12 yards in the last two weeks of the season to record his first 1,000-yard season.
It’s the kind of production the Jaguars likely had in mind when they signed Kirk to a staggering four-year, $72 million deal in free agency. It was a total that surprised many — including Kirk — but evidently Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is among those who’s a believer in Kirk.
“I could put Christian Kirk in my top five because I believe he’s a top five receiver,” Hill told Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe earlier this month on the Club Shay Shay podcast. “You’re looking at me crazy. Yes, bruh.”
Hill, a Pro Bowler in all seven of his NFL seasons, refused to answer a question from Sharpe about the league’s top five receivers. Instead, he argued that there are at least 15 players who could be considered top five if put in the right offensive system.

In addition to his argument that Kirk belongs in the conversation, Hill also gave shoutouts to Brandin Cooks, Mike Evans, and Keenan Allen who he says deserve more credit.
Prior to his breakout season with the Jaguars, Kirk recorded 236 receptions for 2,902 yards and 17 touchdowns in four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
