While some teams are taking a slow approach to the of the new league year, the Miami Dolphins are making moves left and right.
According to NFL Network’s Peter Schrager, the Dolphins are adding to their offensive line acquisitions, as they’re signing guard Dan Feeney.
Feeney, 28, was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round of the 2017 draft after a collegiate career at Indiana. Following four years with the Chargers, where he was a starting left guard, he joined the New York Jets for the last two seasons. With the Jets, however, he played a backup role.
To this point, the Dolphins appeared to be leaning toward starting Liam Eichenberg again at left guard in 2023. The team should be looking for an upgrade at that spot, and Feeney could be that.
At the very least, he can provide depth.
