Journeyman Dolphins prop Josh Allen, son of Brisbane legend Gavin, will have a homecoming of sorts when he plays North Queensland in Cairns on Friday night.

Formerly in the Canberra and North Queensland systems, the aggressive 23-year-old front-rower - on a train-and-trial deal with the Dolphins - will pursue his NRL contract dream in front of Gavin and other family members.
