While a number of teams are putting all of their effort into signing new players to improve their 2023 rosters, the Miami Dolphins seem to be focused on retaining players that spent time with the team in 2022.
According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Dolphins have re-signed offensive tackle Geron Christian, who will likely compete with Kendall Lamm for swing tackle duties.
Christian, 26, was a third-round selection of Washington back in 2018. He played three seasons there before being claimed off of waivers by the Houston Texans. After a full season in Houston, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs last offseason.
Miami claimed Christian off of waivers back in January, as they had a number of injuries along the offensive line, specifically at tackle. He was on the roster for their Week 18 game against the New York Jets and wild-card matchup with the Buffalo Bills, but he never saw a snap.
With Austin Jackson appearing to be the starter on the right side, at this moment, Christian will probably be fighting for a depth role in Miami under new offensive line coach Butch Barry.
