The Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Chargers Monday night in Week 7 but their next opponents are the Miami Dolphins, whom they will face in the road in Week 8.
The Dolphins are expecting a return for starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Dolphins plan on opening his practice window next week and, barring any setbacks, Tagovailoa will start for the first time since Week 2 against the Cardinals.
Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in Week 2, his third in his time in the NFL, and is on injured reserve.
Tagovailoa led the NFL with 4,624 passing yards in 2023 and threw 29 touchdown passes with 14 interceptions, leading the Dolphins to an 11-6 record and playoff appearance.
In two games this season, he has completed 64.5% of his passes for 483 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Cardinals and Dolphins kick off next Sunday at 1 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
