The Miami Dolphins didn’t exactly take their biggest roster need when they were on the clock with pick No. 51. Instead of addressing tight end, offensive tackle or guard, general manager Chris Grier selected South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith.
By most accounts, Smith is a talented cornerback who could have a successful career in the NFL with some great coaching, and he’ll receive that with Vic Fangio as the defensive coordinator, Sam Madison as his cornerbacks coach and the duo of Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard as the veterans on the roster.
When the pick was made, Dolphins fans took to social media to share their opinions, and the reaction was all over the place.
