Dolphins elevate LB, CB from practice squad for matchup with the Chiefs

The Miami Dolphins entered the weekend with one player ruled out and four questionable for their wild-card matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

So, on Saturday, Miami opted to use both of their practice squad elevations to bring up veteran linebacker Malik Reed and cornerback Ethan Bonner to the active roster for the game.

Bonner, 24, has been elevated three times this season, but he’s only played in two of Miami’s games. He’s totaled 26 special teams snaps and 11 on defense. He’s recorded one tackle and one pass defensed.

Reed, 27, was just signed to the practice squad this week. He played in four games with the Las Vegas Raiders this season, recording three tackles. He spent training camp and the preseason with Miami and spent his first three NFL seasons playing for now Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio in Denver.
