Following the reported blockbuster trade that will land star cornerback Jalen Ramsey with the Dolphins, reactions have flooded Twitter. But one of his new teammates in Miami, Xavien Howard, had quite the visceral response to the news.
“This s--- is about to be crazy,” he told ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe.
Howard and Ramsey now form perhaps the most decorated cornerback duo in the league. The 29-year-old is a four-time Pro Bowler and has been named All-Pro twice—both in 2018 and 2020, when he led the league in interceptions. With the addition of Ramsey, a six-time Pro Bowler himself, Miami finds itself with one of the best secondaries in football.
Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill also simply tweeted, “Practice is going to be crazy now,” when he saw the news. He also teased his new teammate when he responded to a tweet from Ramsey that featured a video of him at a concert.
“If you hit me like you did in that flag game we fighting,” Hill said, referencing the Pro Bowl flag football game.
Camaraderie doesn’t seem to be an issue in Miami.
