The Miami Dolphins are set to host the third and final preseason game of 2022, with the Philadelphia Eagles traveling to Miami Gardens for two joint practices and a Saturday night battle at Hard Rock Stadium.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, Miami is currently a 3.5-point favorite for the matchup. They’re also favorites on the money line, as their victory is set at -180. The over/under for the contest is 37.5 points.
Mike McDaniel’s team is coming off of their first loss together against the Las Vegas Raiders, where all three quarterbacks got some action. Tua Tagovailoa moved the offense a bit, but they only ended up with three points from his two drives. That won’t get it done.
Philadelphia, led by Nick Sirianni in his second season, has made an upgrade arguably as impactful to their offense as the Dolphins acquiring Tyreek Hill when the Eagles traded for A.J. Brown. The combination of Brown and second-year wideout Devonta Smith are expected to help Jalen Hurts take the next step.
Does that sound familiar?
As previously mentioned, the two teams practice with each other twice this week, so there will be a lot of competitive juices flowing by the time the game starts. However, there’s also the possibility that both teams treat these sessions as their real evaluations and play roster hopefuls on Saturday.
Miami and Philadelphia will face off on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET.
