Dolly Parton fans rushed to her defence after she was trolled for wearing a skimpy outfit at the Thanksgiving game for the Dallas Cowboys.
The country legend caused waves after performing at the game's Halftime Show in her version of the famous Dallas Cowboys cheerleader's costume.
The 77-year-old stunned in a pair of white hot pants, a cropped blue top that showed off her cleavage and midriff and a tiny waistcoat and matching belt with the Cowboy's team's signature blue stars on them.
The petite Jolene singer, whose belly button was covered with a large diamante star, proudly showed off her age-defying figure as she paraded around the stage belting out some of her hit tracks.
But while the crowd of American Football fans were delighted, many people took to Twitter to slam the star's look as "inappropriate" for her age.
One wrote: "I love Dolly but her outfit tonight was for a 17-year-old not for a 77-year-old!"
"Dolly finally giving into thirst traps with this lol this is a little inappropriate," stated another.
"Dolly been on the phone to fellow old pensioner Madonna, I see lol," said a third, while a fourth commented: "Are you ok with 77 year old Dolly Parton dressing like a 20 year old Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader."
But her fans were not having it. One hit back: "Yes..Dolly can pull this off with class."
A second added: "Why are some people complaining. You should be excited to know it's poss to look like this at her age."
While a third commented: "For everyone complaining about how Dolly Parton dressed tonight, that's who she is and always has been. A f****ng queen."
Patron has been promoting her latest album, Rockstar, which was released on November 17.
