Dog obsessed with tea politely asks for a cuppa by tapping his paw on mug

A charming dog obsessed with drinking tea politely asks his owner for a cuppa by tapping his paw on her empty mug.

Mixed breed Milo is captured on camera refusing to let his owner drink her cup of tea without offering him a sip.

The TikTok clip has been viewed more than 40,500 times and viewers have insisted Milo “must be English” - despite living in Ireland.

The quintessentially British dog discovered his love for tea as a puppy, when somebody left their mug sitting within his reach.

Now seven years old, Milo has taught himself to request a cuppa in the most adorable way.

In the video, cute Milo taps his right paw on the empty mug twice, before pausing and patiently waiting for his owner to pour him a splash of his own.

The delighted dog then laps up his tea with his little tongue straight out of the mug.

The clip is captioned: “We try not to give it to him! Milo loves tea. He doesn’t give us peace to drink it.”

In the comments section, his owner explained that Milo isn’t at all interested when she has coffee - he only has a love for tea.

Many dog parents could relate to the tea-obsessed pup, with one saying: “I have to laugh at my dog while he tries to judge the right time to start hassling me for my tea. I get barely half a cup drunk now before he starts.”

A second person admitted: “My dog gets my last sip of tea every night...out of my cup.”

And a third owner explained that her dog refuses to drink tea unless it has a spoonful of sugar.

Despite concerns over dogs and caffeine, Milo’s owner let fans know that he slept throughout the whole night.
