A dog who was found with horrific head wounds that left his skull exposed has finally found his happy place in foster care.
Eoin - who was named after his rescuer - was discovered in December last year with injuries so severe that those who reported him thought he only had one eye. He was quickly rushed to My Lovely Horse Rescue’s vet John in Blackwater Vets and the appalling extent of his injuries was soon revealed.
“As a rescue charity our volunteers have witnessed the aftermath of cruelty to animals inflicted by humans,” said dog team volunteer Aoife Cunningham. “But nothing could have prepared anyone for this level of cruelty laid bare on such a small body.”
