A dog is critically ill on life support after contracting a disease whilst out on a walk. Natalia Fraczek, 18, says four-year-old Dachshund Ula has fallen sick and may only have a few hours left to live.
After a walk around the town and through a park last Wednesday, Ula seemed fine but, four days later on Sunday when Ula began throwing up and refusing to eat or drink. After running a number of tests, vets discovered Ula had contracted Weil's Disease, also known as Leptospirosis, a serious infection that can be deadly to both dogs and humans and causes toxins to attack the liver and other organs.
Ula may have to be put down, reports GrimsbyLive. Natalia said: "We noticed something was wrong on Sunday morning as she kept throwing up and wasn't eating.
