Dog café with Frenchies and pugs coming to Liverpool city centre

A much loved pop-up dog café is returning to Liverpool but this time, it's for French bulldogs and pugs.

Dog lovers and Frenchie fans alike are permitted to come along, where they'll be able to snuggle up with the dogs in attendance. Pug and French bulldog owners will be able to bring their dog along to the event, where they'll meet like-minded people and lots of other adorable dogs.

This isn't the first time the pop-up dog café has made its way to Liverpool, with hit events kicking off at Christmas and in the summer prior to the pandemic, as well as this Easter. Now, the team behind Pup Up Café, who plan events for dog lovers up and down the country, are heading back to the city.

On Saturday, July 16, the event will be based at hit city centre bar Revolution, located on St Peter's Square, with dogs permitted to roam free "in a safe secure space". There'll be plenty of toys, props for photo opportunities, unlimited dog treats available at designated treat stations, as well as unlimited free 'puppuccinos' for all the dogs, and more.

Pup Up Cafe's events are incredibly popular, frequently gathering up to 150 dogs and their owners throughout the day. None-dog-owners can also book to come along so they can enjoy time with a Frenchie or a pug.

For those on the hunt for gifts for their pets or further treats, there'll be local dog related trade stands to peruse. To ensure the dogs have the best time possible, there'll be ball pits, tunnels, toys and plenty more engaging props to keep them entertained.

Photographers will be on hand to take photos and videos throughout the day, which will be available on Pup Up Cafe's Facebook page shortly after the event.

How to book

Children under eight and dogs go free, but dogs still need a ticket. Your reserved time session will be emailed to you prior to the event.

There's limited tickets for people not bringing a French bulldog or pug along. These tickets include hats and treats, with the chance to see and meet lots of dogs. There'll also be trade stand access, as well as photo opportunities.

Space is available at a first come, first served basis. You can book tickets here for the Frenchie slot, and here for the pug slot.
