Does TikTok have a US buyer? Trump advises on new bid which could give government 50% stake

A company interested in aquiring TikTok has submitted a second proposal after feedback from the Trump administration.

The proposal, by Perplexity AI, would allow the U.S. government to own up to 50 percent of the new entity that merges Perplexity with TikTok’s U.S. business, according to a person familiar with the matter.
