The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced their strategy for Game 6 of the National League Championship Series, with Michael Kopech set to start the game against the New York Mets. The Dodgers, who are aiming to secure their record 25th NL pennant, will rely on a bullpen game approach, utilizing multiple relievers throughout the game.

Manager Dave Roberts explained that starting Kopech is seen as the best way to begin the game with a strong defensive stance. Kopech, who was acquired from the Chicago White Sox in a trade earlier this year, has been a reliable asset for the Dodgers, boasting impressive stats in both the regular season and playoffs.

In his lone appearance in the NLCS so far, Kopech secured a win with a solid performance, showcasing his ability to pitch under pressure. With a track record of success in the postseason, Kopech's presence on the mound is expected to bolster the Dodgers' pitching rotation.

Despite Kopech's strong showing, the Dodgers will also rely on a well-rested bullpen to support their pitching efforts. The team's depth in the bullpen gives them flexibility in managing their pitching staff and adapting to the Mets' lineup throughout the game.

On the offensive side, the Dodgers will be without All-Star first baseman Freddie Freeman, who is dealing with a sprained right ankle. Max Muncy will step in to replace Freeman in the lineup, taking on the crucial fifth spot in the batting order.

Roberts emphasized that giving Freeman additional time to recover is essential for his overall well-being and performance on the field. By making strategic lineup adjustments, the Dodgers aim to maintain their offensive prowess and secure a victory in Game 6.

As the series reaches a pivotal moment, both teams are gearing up for a competitive showdown at Dodger Stadium. With the Dodgers looking to clinch the NL pennant and advance to the World Series, Game 6 promises to be a thrilling display of talent and determination from both sides.
