Doddie Weir dies aged 52 after MND battle as tributes pour in for Scottish rugby legend

Tributes have flooded in to Doddie Weir following the news of the rugby legend's death at the age of 52.

Doddie was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) in 2017 and has bravely battled the condition, leading campaigns into research for a cure through his foundation My Name'5 Doddie.

His tragic passing was confirmed his wife Kathy in a statement, who described him as an "inspirational force of nature."
