A dad who went to seek help from his doctors after experiencing extreme fatigue and chest pains was wrongly told he had depression and acid reflux before he was diagnosed with cancer.
Dad-of-two Ricky Evans' cancer was misdiagnosed by medical professionals after the 32-year-old went to get a check-up.
His cancer was missed for months as doctors told him he had acid reflux and sent him away with omeprazole. But the pain Ricky was suffering continued and he went back to a GP who gave him stronger medication for acid reflux before suggesting he might have depression, the M.E.N reports.
