Doctors gets new BBC Two 7pm timeslot

BBC medical drama Doctors is getting a new permanent time slot on BBC Two, as the BBC makes major changes to their evening schedule.

Currently, the show is shown at 1.45pm on BBC One and will now be repeated on BBC Two at 7pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from Monday, March, 7.

The scheduling change comes as popular BBC soap EastEnders also has new airing times and a new regular air slot of 7.30pm on BBC One every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The BBC has said that this change will make it easier for viewers to watch the shows and both EastEnders and Doctors will be available on iPlayer after they air.

Kate Oates, Head of Continuing Drama, BBC Studios said: "This new simplified schedule means it’s even easier for viewers to get their fix, as well as being able to watch whenever and wherever they choose on iPlayer."

The BBC has also recently been trying a new drama Cheaters, made up of episodes that are just ten minutes long-you can read everything you need to know about Cheaters here and Channel 4 have announced that Hollyoaks will available on All4 before the episode airs on Channel 4.
