Doctor run over and killed in London hospital car park 'by delivery driver who didn't check blind spot'

A doctor was killed in the car park of the hospital where she worked after a delivery driver did not check his blind spot properly, a court heard.

Dr Anjum Afshan, 62, was walking to catch a bus after work when she was killed in a "frankly tragic incident" after being hit and run over as Gulamo Remtula was allegedly reversing from a hospital entrance in a van, the Old Bailey heard.
