Docker O'Meara avoids surgery but faces finals fight

Fremantle are optimistic Jaeger O'Meara will be fit in time for the AFL finals despite the out-of-luck veteran being diagnosed with a syndesmosis ankle injury.

O'Meara injured his left ankle during Saturday's 28-point win over Port Adelaide, but at this stage he won't require surgery.
