Two weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers went into Cleveland and left with a huge loss to the Browns. During the course of that loss, Steelers wide receiver George Pickens got into dust ups with multiple Browns including safety Grant Delpit.
Delpit was asked about the incident and whether or not they felt like they needed to be careful about how they approach Pickens this week. What Delpit said was telling.
“Nah,” Delpit said. “I don’t think we the ones that have to be careful. We do what we do and let him do what he does. Let him be bad.”
What Delpit’s comments tell us is they know they can get in the head of Pickens and they plan to do just that. Pickens also got into a scrum with Browns cornerback Greg Newsome at the end of the game that removed any opportunity he might have had to catch the Hail Mary on the final play.
Hopefully head coach Mike Tomlin has already talked to Pickens about what the Browns are going to try to do to get Pickens worked up and Pickens is ready to come to the game and handle things with maturity and not lose his cool.
