Do the Boston Celtics have the deepest roster in the NBA?

The Boston Celtics will return a starting lineup of Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Robert Williams III in their looming 2022-23 campaign with new additions Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari supercharging a bench with Payton Pritchard, Derrick White, Sam Hauser, Grant Williams and Luke Kornet.

Their deep rotation will have at least Las Vegas Summer League stars JD Davison and Mfiondu Kabengele, and the team has not yet used any of its three larger traded player exceptions (TPEs) to add talent to any of three regular roster slots Boston could yet fill.

Is this the deepest roster in the league right now?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Cedric Maxwell” podcast, Josue Pavon and Maxwell himself, recently discussed just how deep Boston’s roster is going into next season.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear whether they think there are more significant moves to be made, and what else remains to be done.
