'Do not swim' notice issued for popular Loughshinny Beach in north Dublin due to high E.coli readings

A temporary 'Do Not Swim' notice has been issued for Loughshinny Beach in north Co Dublin due to high E.coli readings.

The readings are believed to be due to contamination from dogs and other animals according to Fingal County Council.

The situation is to be reviewed on Friday after the results of water water samples taken on Monday come back.

People can check the water quality at monitored beaches in Ireland on the EPA website.
