DNA testing underway after woman comes forward in search for mother of abandoned newborn baby

DNA testing is underway on a woman police believe could be the mother of a newborn baby abandoned in Western Sydney last month.

The ABC understands she presented to police earlier this week, with testing currently being conducted to confirm whether she is the mother.
