Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf was flagged again last Thursday night. This time it was a taunting penalty for jawing with 49ers outside linebacker Dre Greenlaw. It was his sixth penalty of the season, which is the third-most on the team in 2022. Rookies Abe Lucas and Tariq Woolen both have seven.
Speaking with local media Tuesday, Metcalf said NFL officials have stopped talking to him to explain their calls during games and just throw flags.

Metcalf has been fined twice by the league this year – the first for just under $30,000 and then another around $10,000. Most likely he’ll be getting another this week. Fines are typically announced on Saturdays, which means we may find out during Seattle’s game against Kansas City.
Asked about Metcalf’s recent run-ins with officials and opponents, coach Pete Carroll seemed unconcerned. On Friday he told reporters he wants Metcalf to be who he is, per Yahoo Sports.
