Every time the Rams and Seahawks square off, Jalen Ramsey vs. DK Metcalf is highlighted as the most important matchup. It’s a heavyweight battle between two rare athletes going up against each other on nearly every play.
For the most part, Ramsey has gotten the better of Metcalf during their careers. Metcalf has had 90-plus yards and two touchdowns in two of his last three games against the Rams, but not all of those receptions came with Ramsey in coverage.
Metcalf knows how good Ramsey is and when he was asked which cornerbacks give him the most trouble, it was Ramsey who he mentioned first.
“All right, so, Jalen Ramsey, Jaire Alexander, Xavien Howard,” Metcalf told Kevin Hart.
Metcalf averages only 59.8 yards per game against the Rams in the regular season, never topping 100 yards in a single game. And until last season, he had just one touchdown in four games against Los Angeles.
Ramsey will see Metcalf twice more in 2022 when the Rams and Seahawks meet in Week 13 and 18, the latter of which is the season finale.
