Nottingham Forest favourite makes 'powerful' Newcastle point in relegation prediction
Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Steve Stone is backing his old club to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Reds are currently sitting second from bottom in the table with just 13 points from their first 13 games. Bookmakers consider them the second favourites to go down behind Bournemouth at the end of the season.

Although Steve Cooper's team only have three league wins to their name, Stone is encouraged by the side's performances. He believes that the City Ground crowd can have a similar impact as the Newcastle United fans at St. James' Park are having on Eddie Howe's men.
Antonio Conte sent 'perfect' Djed Spence instruction as Nottingham Forest hero left in limbo
Pundit Perry Groves thinks Tottenham boss Antonio Conte should play Djed Spence more often after the talented youngster was signed on the back of an impressive loan stint at Nottingham Forest.
The 22-year-old made 46 appearances for the Reds last term as they won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, and his impressive form convinced Spur to recruit him from Middlesbrough.
Spence has since found regular game time hard to come by, making just four appearances since joining the north London side. But Groves believes Spence would offer something different to Conte's defensive options.
Pundits agree on Nottingham Forest's big Man Utd issue in Chelsea prediction
Pundits Chris Sutton and Mark Lawrenson have both predicted Nottingham Forest to have a tough afternoon when they take on Chelsea on New Year's Day (4:30pm kick-off).
The Reds will host Graham Potter's side at the City Ground on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last time out. Chelsea, meanwhile, beat Bournemouth in their last outing of 2022.
Despite Chelsea's goal issues this season, scoring just 19 times in 15 games, both pundits believe Forest will suffer a narrow defeat. The Reds are winless since mid-November after their 1-0 success over Crystal Palace before the World Cup break.
Sterling, Mount, Havertz - Chelsea predicted XI vs Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest will be back in Premier League action when they host Chelsea at the City Ground on New Year's Day (4:30pm).
Graham Potter's side will be keen to seal back-to-back wins after a 2-0 home defeat of Bournemouth last time out. Meanwhile, Forest will be looking to get back on track and climb out of the relegation zone following their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.
Heading into the clash, Potter will be without several players with the likes of Reece James, N'Golo Kante, Wesley Fofana, Armando Broja, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy all nursing injuries.
Full Chelsea squad available to Graham Potter vs Nottingham Forest as several players ruled out
Nottingham Forest are back in action on New Year's Day as they look to return to winning ways against Chelsea (4:30pm).
Steve Cooper's men fell to defeat at Manchester United earlier this week following the restart of the Premier League, but three points at the City Ground on Sunday will be crucial in their bid to move them out of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking to make it two wins out of two after beating Bournemouth 2-0 last time out.
Ahead of the match, Blues boss Graham Potter has several players in the injury list. Reece James (knee), N'Golo Kante (thigh), Wesley Fofana (knee), Ben Chilwell (thigh), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (calf), Armando Broja (knee) and Edouard Mendy (shoulder) are all set to miss out.
Club release statement after securing transfer for Nottingham Forest player
Sevilla have released a statement over the imminent transfer of Loic Bade, who had his loan stint at Nottingham Forest cut short.
The 22-year-old struggled to cement a place in Steve Cooper's side after arriving on loan from Rennes. His spell at the City Ground came to an end after failing to make an appearance.
Having completed a medical earlier this week, Sevilla hold the option to make his transfer permanent in the summer. In a statement released by the club, it read : "Sevilla FC and Stade Rennais FC have reached a principle of agreement for the loan until the end of the season with the option of purchase of 22-year-old central defender Loïc Badé, born in Sèvres, France on April 11, 2000.
