DJ Fat Tony reveals he was asked to speak about ‘really sad’ Beckham feud

DJ Fat Tony has revealed that he was asked to speak out about the “really sad” family feud between Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham.

The former footballer and Spice Girls star were accused by their eldest son of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding” in a social media post in January, which also saw him allege his wife had been “disrespected” by his family.

The celebrity DJ, real name Tony Marnoch, performed at Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022 and appeared on ITV’s This Morning earlier this year to discuss the ongoing feud.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Marnoch has revealed that he publicly addressed the Beckham family drama as he was asked to do so by Brooklyn and his wife.

“Yeah, I was (asked to speak). There’s… a WhatsApp group,” he said, referring to a group chat between himself and Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham.

The musician, 60, continued: “I just kind of thought, you know what, I’m not going to throw anyone under a bus, I just spoke from the heart.

“I wasn’t there to slag off Victoria and David. I wasn’t spilling the beans.

“Of course that escalated into a million people turning into lawyers, saying, ‘You signed an NDA’ or whatever. I didn’t.”

While appearing on the morning news programme, Marnoch said he thought the feud began when American singer Marc Anthony had asked for “the most beautiful woman in the room” to come to the stage at the wedding.

Guests were said to have believed it was for Nicola’s first dance with Brooklyn, but instead Lady Beckham was called to the stage and asked to dance with her son, prompting Nicola to leave the room in tears.

The feud remains ongoing and Brooklyn has not made a public appearance with his parents nor acknowledged them on social media since his explosive statement, in which he also claimed his parents control narratives in the press about their family and put “Brand Beckham” first.

Marnoch told The Telegraph: “I always like to see a happy ending, and I think that they will as a family all get back together. It’s really sad.

“And let’s all throw bricks, right? You know, when you are a big organisation – and it is a big organisation, the Beckhams; it’s not just a family, it’s a massive brand – that brand’s protected.”

Lady Beckham addressed the feud with Brooklyn for the first time in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, and said she and Sir David “love our children so much” and have “always tried to be the best parents”.

The couple, known as Posh and Becks, are also parents to sons Cruz and Romeo and daughter Harper.
