For two weeks, Virgin Media TV customers will get access to 15 premium Asian channels during the Festival of Lights at no extra cost. Celebrators will receive this access from now until Tuesday, October 25 - the day after Diwali.
The TV channels included are part of Virgin’s Asian Mela bundle, which normally costs £12 per month. Hours of content can be enjoyed during this year’s celebrations, which officially last five days and begin on October 22.
Reality TV fans can sink their teeth into popular celebrity shows like Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, or Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the Indian equivalent to Dancing with the Stars. These are both available to watch on Colors.
Viewers can also tune into Sony TV HD to watch Indian Idol, known for introducing the world to stars such as Neha Kakkar and Monali Thakur. Comedy comes in the form of The Kapil Sharma Show, which sees the host joined by special celebrity guests each week.
Or if big budget action is more to your liking, India’s third highest-grossing film ever, K.G.F: Chapter 2, starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt and Raveen Tandon, is available to customers. People can also follow the much-loved Indian drama Anupama on Utsav Plus, which stars Rupali Ganguly as the titular character - a devoted Gujrati housewife who fights for self-respect, dignity and pride to live life on her own terms.
