Divyakriti Singh Rathore clinches three medals at Saudi Equestrian Federation Cup

JAIPUR: In an excellent display of equestrian excellence, Divyakriti Singh Rathore, the accomplished Indian rider, left an indelible mark at the first-ever International Dressage Championship for the Saudi Equestrian Federation Cup, held recently at the Jump Saudi headquarters in Riyadh.

Mounted on her trusted horse, Donna Wetter, Jaipur’s Divyakriti Singh clinched three individual medals, showcasing her remarkable skill and partnership with her equine companion.

Under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Bin Fahad Al Saud, President of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, top international riders from around the world gathered to compete in this prestigious event.

In the Dressage Prix St-Georges, the 23-year-old Divyakriti Rathore achieved an extraordinary career-best score of 70.196, securing the individual silver medal. The Dressage Intermediate I event witnessed Divyakriti’s finesse as she claimed the individual bronze medal with an impressive score of 68.921. Continuing her impressive streak, she performed well in the Dressage Freestyle to Music, earning another individual bronze medal with an outstanding score of 72.575.

As a prelude to the highly anticipated World Cup for Show Jumping and Dressage scheduled for April 2024, hosted for the first time in the Middle East and Asia by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the International Dressage Championship served as a captivating curtain-raiser.

Divyakriti Singh, a recent gold medalist in the Dressage Team event at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, proudly represented India as the sole rider from the country participating in this esteemed international championship in Saudi Arabia.
