Divock Origi decision leaves Liverpool fans disappointed after Jurgen Klopp admits to feeling 'emotional'

Liverpool fans were hoping for a 'reunion' with fan-favourite Divock Origi this afternoon when their side faced AC Milan in the Dubai Super Cup.

The Belgian forward ended a seven-year spell at Anfield in the summer, leaving for Milan upon the end of his contract. He scored 41 goals for the Reds across all competitions, but rather than the quantity of strikes, the occasion in which Origi turned up saw him adored by fans.

Equally Jurgen Klopp, who could always rely on the 27-year-old to produce when it mattered most - including Merseyside Derbies and Champions League finals. He said: "I get really emotional hearing the name. I’ve not seen him yet. I think most of the things we’ve achieved in recent years wouldn’t have been possible without Divock Origi."
