Bulgarians are voting on Sunday in their fifth parliamentary election in two years. No stable majority has emerged from the previous polls. The political landscape is divided, particularly over the question of support for Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. Bulgaria is a member of NATO and the European Union, but also has deep historical and cultural ties with Russia and still hosts pockets of loyal support for this Slavic past.
