Dive bar inspired by Johnny Cash opening in Liverpool city centre

A dive bar inspired by rock 'n' roll legend Johnny Cash is set to open in Liverpool city centre.

Mean-Eyed Cat Bar, which has a venue in Leeds, has announced it will open a new venue in Liverpool next year. Work is already underway on the new site, which will be based on Seel Street.

The dive bar is inspired by Rings of Fire and I Walk the Line singer Johnny Cash. The original Mean-Eyed Cat Bar venue opened in 2004 on Merrion Street in Leeds city centre.
